Founding Head of AI

Sourcerer is building the world’s first fully autonomous AI procurement agent for the $300B+ construction and wholesale supply industry. The Role

We’re seeking a world-class Head of AI to join our founding team and drive the technical architecture, research direction, and deployment strategy for Sourcerer’s agent platform. You’ll be responsible for taking our current models from v1 prototypes to production-level systems capable of handling dynamic multi-agent interactions, retrieval-augmented generation, negotiation decision-making, and supplier quality inference.

This is not a typical corporate AI leadership role—we’re looking for a true builder who thrives in ambiguity and wants to lead one of the most ambitious AI product builds in the industrial space.

What You’ll Do

• Architect and scale agent-based AI systems (e.g., LLM chains, RAG pipelines, tool use, planner/critic loops).
• Lead the development of proprietary supplier and product embeddings using sparse and heterogeneous supply chain data.
• Build out sourcing negotiation models: dynamic pricing, offer ranking, and real-time buyer–supplier dialogue.
• Own experimentation, benchmarking, and deployment for all AI systems.
• Collaborate with engineering to ship stable, reliable infrastructure in production.
• Build and mentor a small team of AI researchers and engineers.

Who You Are

• 5+ years in applied ML/AI, ideally with startup experience.
• Deep experience with LLMs, agent systems, and transformer architectures (e.g., LangChain, Hugging Face, OpenAI APIs, or open-weight models).
• Strong systems mindset—can bridge research with production.
• Passionate about global logistics, supply chains, and AI-for-real-world problems.
• A founder’s mentality: resourceful, gritty, and ambitious.
• Bonus: Experience with multi-agent systems, game theory, or optimization over latent supply networks.
